78th Annual Polar Plunge draws large crowd

The 78th Annual Polar Plunge held this past sunday the 22nd of June 2008 drew the largest crowd to the Esplande since it's redevelopment.

Held in overcast conditions with a clean 3 foot surf the large array of costumes contributed to carnival atmosphere. Around 200 brave souls entered the water with more than 1000 watching from the relative comfort of the Esplande.
