White Island Race
The White Island Race marks the commencement of the St Clair Surf Life Saving Club's calendar each year.
Held on the Saturday morning of Labour Weekend this 5 kilometer journey from St Clair Beach around White Island and back is a significant event on our calendar.
This year the event will on Saturday 23 October 2010 at 9am.
Each year there are trophies and honours awarded to the winners of this event. Major trophies for the event include.
Trophies Darcey Christopher Trophy – 1st Canoe to Finish
White Island Shield – Fastest time
St Clair Paddle – Handicap time
$300 cash for breaking race record time and many additonal prizes on the day.
