2017 South Island IRB Champs - 11th Mar 2017

A strong St Clair team will seek its third consecutive title at this weekends South Island IRB Championships being held at Warrington Beach. A total of ten crews have been entered by St Clair with a number of significant returning members the highlight of the team.

Including in those returning to racing are Former IRB World Champion Stephanie Laughton who teams up with Steph Botting (herself a former World Championship medalist during her time with Papamoa), long time club member Heath Ratten returning IRB racing after a seven year absence (racing with last years top Under 21 Driver Arthur Ibbotson)and James Rolfe who finds himself on the other side of the boat, crewing for Niam Chronican this weekend.

Also racing are last years National Single Rescue Champions Briar Taylor and Maysha Ahrens and medalists from last years nationals Mikayla Garforth and Heather Thompson and Silas Kemp and Nelson Mears.
