Commitment to Club no Chore

"I soon realised that if I wanted to join this inner circle of the club I would need to being doing surf club stuff everyday to keep on top of it all. However all though there’s a lot of commitment involved it rarely feels like a chore" - Cam Burrow.

2015 SLSNZ Pool Champs

The 2015 Surf Life Saving New Zealand Pool Champs are being held this weekend at West Wave Aquatic Centre in Auckland which includes a 13 strong team from St Clair.

2016 Eastern Region Champs

St Clair will once again this season be using the Eastern Region Champs (ERC's) being held in Mount Maunganui on Saturday, 30 and Sunday, 31 January as the major lead in event for nationals. Arrangements have now been finalised for members.

First Swim of Summer

A new fundraising event the First Swim of Summer has been created to replace our Annual Polar Plunge for 2015 has been organised for midday on Sunday, 1 November.

IRB Call Out Squad

Congratulations to Cameron Burrow, James Coombes and Antony Mason who will be part of the IRB Call-out Squad as part of the wider Dunedin Marine Search and Rescue Group this season.

Ossian Woods has also been named in the training squad of members who provide additional support and attend IRB Call-out Squad trainings.

Port Chalmers Seafood Festival

Thank you to everyone who helped out with our stand at the Port Chalmers Seafood Festival. Once again this proved to be a valuable fundraiser for the club.

IRB Crew and Driver Training

Training courses for IRB Crew and Driver Awards are scheduled to start within the next month. If you are interested in doing either of these awards please contact Antony Mason.

Up-coming Training Courses

The following courses are scheduled to be run in the coming months: Instructors Award, First Aid Level 1 and First Aid Level 2.

Dates have been released for the following courses:

  • First Aid Level 1: 10 and 11 October, venue TBC
