White Island Race

The 2015 St Clair SLSC White Island Race was held last Saturday in sunny Dunedin weather with a challenging one meter surf. Fastest time winner went to Zac Quickenden from South Brighton, followed home by the North Beach Open Mens Surf Boat and Scott Martlew also from South Brighton.

Special mention to the St Clair Masters Canoe Crew who took out the First Canoe Trophy and the Winners on the Handicap.

Club Opening Day

The official club opening day for the new season is this Saturday (31 October) between 11am and 3pm. Registrations are from 11am till 1pm, with the lifeguard refresher taking place between 1 and 3pm.

Senior Club Training

The first squad training session for the new season will be on this Saturday at Macandrew Bay kicking off at 9am! Gear loading will be on Friday night at 5:30pm.

Our senior squad will also be joined by all our junior training squads.

First Swim of Summer

The new fundraising event the First Swim of Summer which has been created to replace our Annual Polar Plunge for 2015 has been postponed until Saturday, 28 November. More details to come in the next few weeks.

2016 Surf Life Saving Nationals

The 2016 Nationals are being held at Ohope Beach in 2016 in mid-March. Arrangements have now been finalised for members.

Patrol Roster

The final version of the patrol roster for this season is now available on our website. On patrol this weekend are:

  • Saturday, Patrol One; Graeme Newton and Thomas Garforth (Co-captains)
  • Sunday, Patrol Two; Ossian Woods and Rob Creasy (Co-captains)
