Trio Head to Europe

Good luck to our three members Andy McMillan, Andrew Trembath and Carina Doyle part of the Surf Life Saving New Zealand team who head to Europe today to contest the Orange and German Cups. Results will be available via our Facebook page and future weekly updates.

Beach Conditions

As a result of recent incidents at St Clair; the club is actively seeking advice on the best process for managing any rescues needing to be performed on the area around the Esplanade.

During normal volunteer patrol hours any rescue situations can be referred to the lifeguards on patrol; outside of these times when no lifeguards are present rescues are performed by Dunedin Marine Search and Rescue normally on the request of the Police. Rescue situations outside patrol hours should be referred to the Police.

As club members you are welcome to provide feedback to the club on any matters you think should be addressed with the Dunedin City Council; these can be emailed to the club or you may wish to speak with the club chair, James Coombes directly.
